Beatles Mania Returns to Seattle!
The Beatles last played Seattle on Friday, August 21st, 1964 at 8 p.m and the maximum ticket price was $5.00. On Saturday, January 31st, 2009 at 7 p.m. the Beatles will return! Well, not exactly...but University Lutheran Church will host a Beatles sing-a-long as a fundraiser for Elizabeth Gregory Home at 1964 prices. For $5.00 you can get through the door of the fellowship hall, and sing the music of the most storied rock band ever with high-spirited accompaniment by Brian Maschhoff (guitar) and Rich Hinrichsen (bass, piano). Brian has kindly lowered the keys so that the songs are actually singable.
Dressing in 1960s costumes is OK, but no Indian guru and no Yoko. Singing out of tune is OK, but high-pitched screaming and the tossing of undergarments will not be permitted. Fading memory? Not a problem, as lyrics will be available.
Refreshments will be available for purchase. Please RSVP to Rich at hinrich@seanet.com or (206)715-2859.
